BABYMONSTER are trying something different. Their new digital single ‘DESERVE’ came out at 1 p.m. KST on Friday (midnight ET), and it’s a pop ballad, not the hard-hitting dance track fans might expect.

According to YG Entertainment, the song pairs synth melodies and a retro feel with lyrics about looking back on old memories and wishing a former partner well. The members said it’s a style they hadn’t tried before. It’s their first release since June’s ‘SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA’, about four months ago.

Live vocals this weekend

The group will perform ‘DESERVE’ on MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’ on Saturday and SBS’ ‘Inkigayo’ on Sunday, using handheld mics to show off their live vocals.

BABYMONSTER are also getting ready for their second world tour, ‘2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM]’, which covers 31 shows in 18 cities across five continents.
