cosmosy are trying on a much darker look. The group’s new single ‘Give Me Love’ came out on all music platforms at 6 p.m. KST on October 30 (5 a.m. ET), Star News reports.
Instead of a sweet love song, ‘Give Me Love’ is about the urge to possess someone. It treats obsession as a kind of love from the first moment two people’s eyes meet, summed up in the line “You are mine forever.”
The sound matches the concept. The track is built on dark trap and hard club beats, with intense rap and a chant that’s easy to get stuck in your head, and the lyrics switch between Korean, English and Japanese.
Fans also had a hand in getting the song out. Its release was unlocked through ‘open your eye=sy’, a project where fans completed missions on the group’s official homepage to fill up a gauge. It hit the goal with about 15,000 total participations, and concept photos started rolling out on October 27.
