ENHYPEN had a special guest at HYBE this week. The six members met WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Thursday at HYBE’s headquarters in Seoul to go over the results of their blood donation campaign, BELIFT LAB said on Friday KST. Officials from Korea’s Ministry of Health and Welfare and Korean Red Cross Blood Services were there too.

Tedros praised the members for donating blood themselves. “Blood is the most precious gift anyone can give to another person,” he said, calling it “the gift of life.” He also told them: “I’m your fan, too.”

How the campaign went

The drive started in January alongside the group’s seventh EP, ‘The Sin: Vanish’, in partnership with the Korean Red Cross. From January 16 to 25, 7,730 people gave blood, and 1,031 of them were first-time donors. It later expanded to Japan and Singapore, reaching about 10,000 participants in total. In June, ENHYPEN also joined WHO’s World Blood Donor Day campaign.
