One of K-pop’s first-generation girl groups is coming back. On September 21 KST, GEMSTONE E&M announced that all four members of Fin.K.L, Lee Hyori, Ock Joo Hyun, Lee Jin and Sung Yuri, are preparing a full-group reunion.

It will be the group’s first real comeback in roughly 21 years. Their last release together was the 2005 digital single album ‘Forever Fin.K.L’.

Not a one-off

The four did sing together in 2019 for JTBC’s ‘Camping Club’, but that was a single song tied to the show. GEMSTONE E&M, which is handling the group’s activities, called this reunion “a fresh start for sustainable activities” and said it will reveal plans one by one.

A quick look back

Fin.K.L debuted in 1998 and gave the era hits like ‘Blue Rain’, ‘To My Boyfriend’, ‘Forever Love’ and ‘Now’. Since then, each member has built her own career. The agency hasn’t shared a release date yet.
