Mark Lee isn’t making fans wait long. Two months after ‘My Friend’, the former NCT member will release a new single, ‘Happiest’, on November 6 at 2 p.m. KST across major music platforms, according to Star News.

His label, Upper Room, shared an audio preview on its official social channels on November 2. It opens with Mark dancing freely to the track, then brings in a string of other people, each moving their own way with no set choreography, for a bright, easygoing mood.

Musically, ‘Happiest’ is an alternative pop R&B track. It started from a question about whether the happiness we know is really happiness, and it’s Mark’s take on the kind that comes from deep inside rather than the version the world hands us. He’d recently asked fans on social media what makes them happy, and that question carried into the song.

‘Happiest’ doesn’t have a music video yet. Until it drops, here’s the video for ‘My Friend’, the single that kicked off his singer-songwriter era.
