Now we know the song NCT DREAM are bringing to their 10th anniversary. SM Entertainment has named ‘Boogie Woogie’ the lead track of the group’s sixth full-length album, ‘DREAM AFTER DREAM’, out November 9 at 6 PM KST (4 AM ET), with the physical album arriving the same day.
‘Boogie Woogie’ goes retro. It’s an up-tempo dance song that mixes 1970s disco-funk with modern synths, carried by busy percussion and a groovy bassline. Jaemin helped write the lyrics, which look back on the members’ decade together, thank each other for making ordinary days feel special, and nudge listeners to enjoy the moment they’re in.
The first teasers went up on the group’s official channels on Thursday in Korea, casting the members as gardeners, each looking after his own patch of a lush garden. SM says the idea stands for everything they’ve grown together over 10 years, plus the stories still to come.
The album has 10 tracks, and pre-orders are open now. It’s also a new chapter for the lineup: ‘DREAM AFTER DREAM’ is NCT DREAM’s first release as six, with Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung, after Mark left the group and SM in April when his contract ended. Fans already got an early taste of the album with the B-side ‘The Sun’, whose music video is below.
