Japan’s big year-end TV season is filling up with K-pop. Fuji TV’s FNS Music Festival announced its performers on Tuesday, and there’s a strong K-pop lineup across both nights, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.
Night one, Wednesday, December 2: Stray Kids, CORTIS, ILLIT and BABYMONSTER take the stage, along with Japanese girl group HANA, the group produced by Chanmina.
Night two, Wednesday, December 9: SM Entertainment brings three acts, aespa, NCT DREAM and RIIZE, and HYBE’s Japanese boy band &TEAM joins them.
The festival has been running since 1974 and is one of Japan’s flagship year-end music shows. This year it’s planned as nine hours of live performances over the two broadcasts. For ILLIT, it’s a return trip: they were on the stage last year too, alongside TVXQ, TXT’s Taehyun, ATEEZ and TWS.
No one has said yet which songs each act will perform. While we wait, here’s ILLIT’s latest title track, ‘You’re Under Arrest’.
