Good news for VIBY’s fans in Korea: on October 26, the Japanese boy group is releasing Korean-language vocal versions of two of their songs, ‘HANAMARU’ and ‘Gotcha’, on music streaming platforms, according to Star News. Both tracks first came out in Japan.
‘HANAMARU’ is a feel-good anthem about cheering yourself on. The idea is to give yourself a “well done” on the days that go smoothly and on the days that don’t. ‘Gotcha’ goes in a brighter, more upbeat direction, a dance-pop track built on breezy guitar and synths that shows off a different side of the group.
VIBY is made up of five members, Io, Renki, Akito, Ryoha and Kotaro, and is the first act from Rii.MJ, a new label started by producer Kim Mi-jung. Their name is short for “Voyage Into Bright Youth,” which fits the plan for the group: five different personalities growing together as one team through their music and performances.
You can catch the original music videos for both songs below.
