YG Entertainment has two comebacks on the calendar. In a written update on YG’s official X account, founder Yang Hyun Suk laid out plans for BABYMONSTER, TREASURE and the label’s next rookies.

BABYMONSTER: ‘DESERVE’ on October 23

BABYMONSTER returns on October 23 with the digital single ‘DESERVE’, the group’s first new song in about four months, following ‘SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA’. Yang describes it as a slower track built around the members’ vocals that still hits harder than anything they’ve released. He also said YG is aiming for a new BABYMONSTER album early next year.

TREASURE: ‘SHOCK’ on November 2

TREASURE follows on November 2 with the digital single ‘SHOCK’. Yang called it the next step in the group’s “second chapter”, which began with June’s mini album ‘NEW WAV’, and said it leans into a heavy hip-hop sound. The single leads into TREASURE’s full activities in 2027.

Two new groups

Yang also gave an update on YG’s next debuts: a five-member boy group and a four-member girl group. Both are set to record demo songs by the end of this year, and debut timing should get clearer once their title tracks are picked. He promised another YG ANNOUNCEMENT video around the end of the year.
