ZICO is heading to one of Japan’s biggest year-end festivals. His agency KOZ Entertainment said on Wednesday (Korea time) that he’ll perform at Countdown Japan 26/27, making him the first Korean male solo artist to take the festival’s stage.
He’s set for December 27, the festival’s second day. Countdown Japan runs at Makuhari Messe in Chiba on December 26, 27, 29, 30 and 31, with 179 acts on this year’s lineup. The festival has been a year-end tradition since 2003.
It’s a fitting way to close out a busy year in Japan for ZICO, who sold out a solo concert in Tokyo back in February. Closer to home, he also headlined Netflix’s two-day fan festival in Seoul this past weekend, celebrating the platform’s 10 years in Korea.
While you wait for December, the ‘Any song’ MV is a good place to start.
